POTTER’S LANE: THE ROAD HOME
Ending chronic homelessness through innovative permanent housing solutions.
A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE.
American Family Housing is soon to break ground on an innovative project in Midway City, called Potter’s Lane. Estimated for completion in 2016, the energy-efficient and sustainable housing site will fulfill one of the community’s greatest needs: permanent housing for chronically homeless veterans.
The LA Times witnessed the first of these apartment units being installed on September 21st!
Simultaneously, AFH will join a revolution that is bringing an end to chronic homelessness among our nation’s veterans in major metropolitan centers throughout the U.S.
Potter’s Lane will offer both indoor and outdoor spaces, with beautiful gardens and native plants to provide a sustainable environment that soothes the soul. Through tranquil common areas, residents can interact, building a sense of community and connectedness to others.
Growing exponentially from its deep-seeded roots established in 1985, AFH looks toward the future with a bold new vision that includes a “harm reduction and housing first” approach to end homelessness in Southern California by giving everyone, regardless of their current circumstances, a fair chance for housing stability and a better way of life.
